Nişantaşı Penthouse Duplex

The brief for this duplex, designed for a family with two children, was a warm but understated home with generous storage. On the lower floor we merged living room, kitchen and study into a single flow; the upper floor holds the master suite and two children's rooms.

Material palette

Travertine flooring, matt-oiled oak panelling, hand-made brass handles and linen curtains are the main materials. All wardrobes run to the ceiling and blend into the walls with concealed doors.

Result

Storage volume increased by 38% and the living room area receiving daylight doubled. The project was completed in 19 weeks, 2% under the approved budget.
